At Site Smart Web Services we offer a range of services including, but not limited to: Website Design | Planning and Wireframes All proposed websites require some planning how much depends on the requriments of the individual client.Planning establishes the requirements, focus and target demographic as well as any other details which are important to the build. Once a basic plan is in place we use wireframes to map out the locations of key website contact, things like the menu location, main content area and logo etc. Website Design | Graphic Design Process Once our clients are happy with the wireframe layouts the project moves foward on to the design stage.At Site Smart Web Services we do not have in-house graphic designs so all our graphic design work is out sourced to 3rd party designers. These designers work closely with us and our clients to create the look and feel of the clients website in a graphics context. This process is consultative and often multiple iterations will be developed, only when the client is 100% satisfied with the end result will the consultative process stop and the project move to the next stage. Note: The 3rd party graphic designers we use also offer logo design and illustration services which can greatly enhance the look and feel of your website. Website Design | Website Development Process Once the designs are signed-off the project comes solely back to us, we take the designs that have been developed for the project and code them in to xHTML/CSS website pages.These pages are then ready for deployment as either a small website, or integration into our CMS or shopping cart templating system. Ecommerce Systems | Ecommerce Package The most common ecommerce package we provide at Site Smart Web Services is based on a highly customised version of CubeCart v4.CubeCart is an "out of the box" ecommerce shopping cart software solution, we use CubeCart as it provides clients with a fantastic platform to run there online business. We have customised CubeCart to allow for additional features which when coupled with the excellent platform CubeCart is "out of the box" provides clients customers with a pleasant and easy shopping experience. Ecommerce Systems | What's Included We include a range of services with our ecommerce package including, but not limited to:* All services requring registation such as website hosting and domain names are registered in our clients name, this means at all times the cleint has legal ownership of there website and domain name(s). ** Not all ecommerce websites requre an SSL certificate or PCI DSS compliance, we will advice clients on wether or not there website will require one or both and if it does can organise both the certificate/compliance and installation on the clients web server. *** The payment gateway is the method in which website visitors are able to pay for the items they buy from the clients store. Site Smart Web Services are accredited partners of PayPoint.net, Sage Pay and Secure Trading but are also able to setup and install almost any payment gateway including, but not limited to: PayPal, WorldPay, PayOffline, 2Checkout, Authorize AIM, Barclaycard ePDQ, CCNow, ChronoPay, eWay, HSBC (API), Nochex APC, PayJunction, psiGate and MoneyBookers. As with all aspects of the development process we will advise clients on diffrent gateway options. Ecommerce Systems | Development Process When a client makes the desision that they would like to have an ecommerce website setup we follow the same design steps as found above in the website design section.Once the website development process is compleate we will then start to code the clients website design to work with the CubeCart templating system. As with the graphic design process this process is consultative and clients are sent links to there websites development space to track progress and offer feedback on there website as it progresses. If during the planning process the client has requested bespoke changes to the CubeCart platform these changes will also be made and demonstrated on the websites development space again this is also a consultative process. Once the client is happy with the website a backup of the website will be made and moved over on to the clients webspace. We will then setup shipping and payment gatways and perform checks to make sure the website is functioning correctly. Once this is done we will provide the client with full training on there new website and only when the client is 100% happy will we sign the work of as complete. Content Management | Content Management Overview A content management system allows the client to update the content on there website them self in real time using an admin interface. The admin interface is restricted area of the website that only the client has access too.Content Management | Content Management Package There are many content management systems on the market that people can use both free and commercial.
